Sorciére
The Sorciére follows the life of a young healer in 1700’s Louisiana. Introduced and influenced by a traditional Haitian Vodou priest, she begins a lifelong relationship with the Iwa spirits of Vodou. Sometimes benevolent, often malevolent, these spirits posess her entire being and transform her into a filthy, hermit-like witch of the swamps. Like her Iwa, she is sometimes benevolent, but often the harbinger of wrath. The Sorciére is the finest kind of historical horror.
The author is more storyteller than writer, but this lends a relaxed and comfortable style. Our editors highly recommend the Sorciére.
HORTON
Horton begins as pure science fiction and quickly turns the corner to dramatic storytelling of the finest kind. Our editors loved the twist of the tale and the conversational and easy writing style of the author. HORTON walks the fine line between Novella and Novel at 200 pages. It is a great read for a lazy weekend, holiday, road trip or rainy afternoon. We recomend this book for ages 13-100. - Editor
